My busy week

I've had an exciting but hectic schedule the last few days. The pictures below will give you a good idea of what I've been up to. I had to get up really early on Monday morning and go see my doctor, but he says everything with me is fine! I got to meet my grandparents and all my aunts and uncles, too. That was lots of fun... We even got to go to dinner with dad's parents and mom's parents. They had steak while I had my usual.

Mom and Dad gave me a bath and then let me lie on my tummy for a while. Things from that perspective are quite different, but it helps me burp better! When all was said and done, I got to sleep on mom and dad's bed. The sun is so nice and warm.

Happy Easter to all!

Attention K-Mart shoppers: Blue Light special on newborn babies!

Azure Baby Boy

The move didn't come without it's complications. I'm feeling fine but looking a little yellow, so they put this blue light on me to make my skin normal looking. Mom called it "jaundice" and the light is phototherapy. Dad, crazy guy that he is, called me his "Blue Light Special." Ha Ha Ha, dad... very funny. You're lucky I don't bite you when you're feeding me.

Hey, Remember me? I'm back

Hello folks, it's me, Little Dude! Sorry I haven't blogged in a while... you wouldn't believe the kind of week I've been having. Day four and I'm still tired from the move. As you can tell, I'm just now starting to open my eyes again. This guy who calls himself "dad" has been filling in for me. He and that "mommy" lady are alright. Mommy gives me food, helps me out here and there, and she even puts clothes on my back. But don't get me started about this dad fellow... sure he's nice, but he talks to me like I'm an idiot. Yes, dang it, I DO want that bottle.

Hope the rest of your week is good. Apparently, people are now starting to call me Andrew. That's cool with me, but I'll still answer to Little Dude.

Who are you and why are you taking my picutre?

He's Home!

Greetings from the land of sleepless nights and poopy diapers! We brought Andrew home today and he's either sleeping or eating at any given moment. Mom is fine and enjoying her Little Dude.

Happy Birthday, Little Dude!!!

We shall call him Little Dude no more (at least formally!). Please welcome into the world
Andrew Joseph Lerner

Andrew arrived this afternoon, March 11, 2005, at 12:34 p.m. He weighed in at a whopping 8 pounds, 3 ounces and measured 21 inches long. Amy and I could not be happier: he has 10 perfect fingers and 10 perfect toes. We want to thank everyone for their prayers, love, support and phone calls checking up on us today.

In case you are wondering, Andrew is named for St. Andrew the Apostle, and for St. Joseph, foster-father of Jesus (click on the names to read the lives of the saints). We chose Andrew because well, we just liked the name. Joseph came to us because the month of March is dedicated to St. Joseph, and Amy's birthday is on the Feast of St. Joseph, March 19th. Thanks again for everyone's prayers for a safe delivery: they certainly were answered. Please enjoy the photos below as your first glimpse of our Little Dude.

Am I getting evicted?

I keep overhearing the same two people talking about "getting ready for Little Dude" and "getting him out." What gives? I've been a good neighbor! If anyone should be evicted, it's those people who blare music at me, tap my walls and poke fun at me verbally. Looks like I better get my stuff together and get out of here soon before I get thrown out. Besides, have you ever had the feeling that the walls of your home are closing in on you? It's only going to get worse, I suppose.
