another St. Peter?

At mass today, there was a different priest: an older guy, with gray hair and a beard.

Andrew got into the car after mass and says: "That priest looked like St. Peter on the holy card."

Jim and I started laughing...b/c he was totally right!

olympic moments...

Andrew and Peter were watching some of the Olympic coverage before bed tonight.

Peter, excitedly: "Oh, it HOCKEY!"
Then, it changed to figure skating..."Oh, it not hockey."

Andrew: "That's right, Peter. This is skating. Isn't it cool?"

Peter, disappointedly: "It not hockey..."

this program brought to you by...

Andrew was playing a little 'Finding Nemo' game on his Leapfrog. Peter was intently watching Andrew's progress over A's shoulder.

Peter: "It Nemo! Like Nemo on movie!"
Andrew: "That's right, Peter. Did you know the Nemo movie was brought to you by lamplight?"

(think Pixar lamp...)

I had to leave the room before I laughed out loud!

Andrew Cam

Andrew received a kids camera for Christmas. Here are some outtakes...

self portrait - happy Andrew

Peter's toes

The 'duck family'

Close-up: "little duck"

Close-up: "George"

self-portrait - Angry face
Incidentally, this is also the face Andrew makes at story time...the ENTIRE time we're there. Pretty, isn't it?

brother Peter

Toys - Airport guys

I'm guessing this is another self-portrait - of Peter

Peter says hi to his new cousin, Luke

piercing the silence

We walked into mass the other night. It was VERY quiet...no squeaky kneelers, no organ or music...nothing.

Peter: "Mom, it SO WAY quiet in here!"

Well, okay, it WAS quiet until we got there.

Peter from across the room, pointing at Andrew: "Blue underwear!"
Me: "Blue underwear? Where?!"
Peter: "There! With butt!"
(No, Andrew was not showing anything, but it was still funny!)

Andrew immediately hiked up his pants...

Building Snowmen...

Andrew's snowman...
We used milk-caps for eyes, carrots for a nose and grapes for his mouth.

Size comparison...Andrew is way too interested in catching snowflakes

Pop-pop comes home to help the boys build more snowmen!

Andrew has the snowman's head...

One down...2 to go...

The snowman family...which you can't really see due to a bad camera angle...and LOTS of white

The busy snowman builders pause for a photo op
(notice the chunk of snow in Andrew's hand for his 'snack')

Record Snow Fall!

DFW received a record snowfall this year. The 'official' amount of 12.5 inches beat a record from nearly 50 years ago!! The boys didn't really care about records - we probably got more than that, actually - but they had a wonderful time playing in the snow!!

Andrew catching some snow...

Peter in his 'snow-gear'

SNOWBALL FIGHT!

Getting more snow for snowballs

It's so fun to run and fall in snow!

blanket brothers

On those cold, winter days there's nothing better than snuggling under a blanket and watching your favorite show!

boys n briefs

This is the boys' version of 'helping' with laundry...
underwear on their heads...

Grandpa and their uncles will be so proud! lol!
